Explosions In The Sky to play Malaysia!

Sometimes, it pays to complain. Looks like Kuala Lumpur will host Explosions In The Sky!!!



Just moments ago, a friend of mine dispatched an announcement on these fine Texan post-rock geniuses heading to Kuala Lumpur for a gig. All this was of course expected; like it was an eleventh-hour agreement. But that wouldn't deter me from celebrating over lunch today how my February 2008 will be a month filled with celebrations from start to finish!


Tickets, tickets!

Let's run over the details for this gig. Explosions In The Sky (EITS) is slated to perform at Ruums Club, Kuala Lumpur on the 19th of February 2008. Performance will begin at 2100 hours (9 pm) and there will be no supporting band for this show. Tickets will be sold at MYR 110.00 from fine Rock Corner outlets or at the club premises itself. I expect tickets to be sold like hot cakes by the first week of February through word of mouth alone.

Penang's own indie darlings, WhiteLight, is noted to have confirmed their attendance. I guess we shall be seeing a lot of local celebrities during that night. Nice...

Update (4 Feb 2008): Malaysia can put faith in getting more quality international acts to perform in our shores soon thanks to the collaboration of Arianna Teoh (Arianna Event Management) and Alan Chan (Galaxy Group).
