- Here's a short video of BBC Two's automobile tv show, 'Top Gear', showing the hosts criticising our national car, Proton (Savvy). Download the clip here. Now, I can't understand why the British media would want to criticise the Malaysian national car. Perhaps it's sheer jealousy that Lotus is owned by us "forest people". In terms of quality, I have to admit that we're somewhat below the usual standards set by the German and Japanese counterparts and yes time is against the automobile market right now. I wonder if the VW-Proton talks will be brought up again to aid the situation?
